Still loving and savoring all your experiences - the way you write about it makes me feel like I’m part of it with you.

If I’d been there, I would have sought to share this experience with you. Alas, I had another commitment that day. Gethsemane is my church, but I’m not Swedish. I’m fond of learning about cultures and traditions. Thank you for the photos and your newsletter! All the best!

What a beautiful church! I was moved so much by the stained glass -- it reminded me of the Sagrada Familia and all the warmth and connection I felt there. We'll have to meet up there next year!

A good friend of mine who lives in Idaho has Swedish ancestry. She’s and her husband (who’s British) spent years taking Swedish classes and they’ve been to Sweden several times to visit her extended family. I’m going to share this with her. :-)

Great story! I was unaware of those special traditions of the Swedish culture. Thanks for sharing a new perspective!

Thank you, Tracy! Still so much to learn about the world. It's both inspiring and intimidating!

Bob's Mom was Swedish so she introduced all things tompte to me when I married into the family. I just love adding all my sweetish ornaments to the tree in remembrance to her and her culture. Thank you for reminding me of those moments through your own story. God Jul to you and yours!

Aww, she would have loved this event! I did, too, but wanted to spend some time reflecting on some the squishiness I discovered inside myself while I was there. Sending so much love to you and Bob this holiday season!
