Oh the tears that well up when I read this. Music (very much like food) feeds our soul and conjures so many memories by just a few notes. I've always enjoyed your musical journey online of your videos playing but I enjoy knowing the back story as well. Thank you.
so very beautiful my love. inspiring too. I have a fiddle. I got at it at the end of 2019. I took lessons and practiced everyday for several months. I couldn't believe it when I could actually play the notes and get the rhythm to Amanda Shires "you are my home" I was driving around listening to fiddle mixed tapes and playing air fiddle.
Then we moved after right after lockdown to our tiny house in a small community and I have been so concerned with offending close by ears with my learning process that I have not played it once since we moved in.
WOW! Sacrificing this little self discovery and self-confidence building journey for the possibility that someone else might be slightly ill at ease from hearing a girl trying to tune into her muse is not acceptable to me now. Thank you my dear friend for helping me think about this differently.
